The Indian Navy just announced the retirement of their fleet of Sea Harriers. This comes after 33 years of service from Sea Harriers. Nalls Aviation now becomes the only operator of Sea Harriers. Our FA.2 is the last surviving, flying example anywhere in the world!
While Team SHAR is busy preparing for our 9th airshow season, we’re also hard at work to return our new TMk 8 two-seat Harrier trainer to the sky.
The photo at right is NOT of our specific airplanes, but is representative of what our team will soon be. The TMk 8 will first be used to transition our two latest Harrier pilots, then assume duty providing flight instruction.
The TMk 8 is also an extremely rare airplane and is also the sole flying example, anywhere in the world. The team expects this airplane to join the SHAR later in the 2016 season.
