Team SHAR ready for 9th Airshow Season!

Bear Mouat 2 With the completion of the annual conditional inspection, and the accompanying Post Maintenance Check Flight (PMCF), Team SHAR only needs to complete a badly needed airplane wash to be ready for go for the first Harrier show at Manassas,  VA on May 7th.

“The airplane performed flawlessly!” said Art Nalls, as he exited the cockpit.  “Normally, when we blow down the landing gear during the maintenance checks, we can expect minor fluctuations in the hyd system – – residual air bubbles – – -but there were none!”

Team SHAR also refreshed Joe Anderson in the L39, so he’s ready to go, as well.  Joe took an extra trip in the L39, since the weather was perfect, the plane was perfect and it would have been a shame to waste it!Bear Mouat 4

“The refresher flights are a big deal,” said Nalls.   “We don’t fly a majority of the year, so it’s important to get the airplanes back in the air SAFELY and the pilots back up to speed and current.”
